Pressure-Treated Wood Deck Replacement
Pressure-treated wood decks are not as durable as premium composite decks. However, they give you that traditional look of natural wood that a lot of customers still enjoy. We can paint or stain your wood deck any color you can imagine for your home. Although you still have maintenance with wood decks, they are not as expensive as composite decks.
Deck Replacement and Installation Process
Step 1
The first step in the process is to plan the design and layout. Decide on the size and shape of your deck, as well as any features you want to include, such as stairs, railings, or built-in seating. Consider the purpose of your deck and the style of your home when planning the design. We will help you with this step if you need any ideas.
Step 2
The second step in the process is to obtain any necessary permits. We will handle this for you so you have nothing to worry about.
Step 3
The third step in the process is to prepare the site. We will clear the area where your deck will be built and level the ground. We will install footings and posts into the ground precisely where they are required to go for the size and shape of your deck.
Step 4
The fourth step in the process is to install the framing. We will cut and install the framing for your deck using #1 rated lumber that far exceeds standard pressure-treated lumber. This will allow the deck to last as long as you live in the home. We will install joists and ledger boards, ensuring they are level and securely attached to the house.
Step 5
The fifth step in the process is to install the decking. Once the frame is in place, we can begin installing the decking boards. We will cut the boards to size and attach them to the joists using decking screws.
Step 6
The sixth step in the process is to install the railing system. Depending on the height of your deck, you may need to install a railing system. This can be made of wood, vinyl, metal, or other materials, and will be securely attached to the deck frame.
Step 7
The final step in the process is to give your deck a finished look. We will install a white fascia board wrap around all of the exposed edges of your deck and stairs. This will perfectly hide your rough edges to give your deck a beautiful look that will last forever. At this time we will add any finishing touches that you requested, such as custom post caps or any decorative elements.
