You will pay the same price no matter the time of year you buy from these companies. The deals are their way to get you on the phone and them in your home to sell, sell, sell.

High Pressure Sales Tactics

High pressure sales tactics are stressful situations. It starts with a stranger coming to your home. Will they judge the way I live? Do I need to offer them anything? I’m already nervous to tell them no if that’s what I decide! Every minute leading up to the knock on the door makes you anxious. And then the four-hour appointment ensues with the salesperson who is trained not leave your house without a sale. This is one of the main reasons we started American Remodel. We want to give the customer complete control of their project and without all the high-pressure nonsense.​

Hidden or False Information

We don’t manufacture our own products and neither does almost any other home remodeling company in the area. This isn’t something we are going to hide, but rather, it’s something we celebrate. We are proud to highlight our partnerships and excited to tell you more about the manufacturers we’ve chosen to work with on our product pages. We also aren’t going to tell you that we have a team of in-house, employed by us, installers who work for American Remodel. We use the best, most experienced installers, and they’re the same installers used by other area remodeling companies.

The American Remodel Team

Jake Cross


Jake Cross was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. When not playing football and baseball, learning the ins and outs of construction from his father was a priority.

He attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis on an academic and football scholarship. After being injured and discharged, he began working for Thompson Creek and quickly became their top salesperson. Jake met Robb while they were both excelling in their sales roles, and together they began learning there was room for improvement in the business of home remodeling.

After six years at Thompson Creek, Jake and Robb joined forces to start American Remodel and pursue their vision. Drawing on his experience and work ethic, his goal is to create an entirely new way of quoting, ordering, and delivering home improvement projects. He strives to make home remodeling an enjoyable, effortless process from start to finish.

Robb Cochran


Robb Cochran was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. Working various jobs around his neighborhood at a young age only grew his interest in investing and finances.

He attended West Virginia University and, after graduating, worked at American International Group (AIG), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). After leaving FINRA, he began his first outside sales job and met Jake.

During his time at Thompson Creek, he refined his sales tactics and became one of the company’s top performers. Robb’s focus on customer service and transparency led him to start American Remodel with Jake. His goal is to provide the simple information customers need without unnecessary gimmicks.
